The word “Phishing” is used for sites that steal your identity, and there are more Phishing sites stealing Facebook login information today.
First thing this morning, I received a Facebook message with the subject “Hi” and the content “Look at redbuddy dot be”. Going to that site gets you the same kind of site as I reported in Facebook Trojan Attack earlier this week. Once again it’s obviously a phishing site, with language like, ”We helps you connect and share with the people in your life.” and yet people are still being sucked in!
Beware! Do not log in to any site that you don’t absolutely know is the site you want. Realize that any time you use your login, it can be compromised. I’m putting together a brief video on this that I plan to have ready this weekend.

Rhonda, I haven’t seen these messages. If you still have one, send it to me, please?
Do they have you reset your password at that point? How do you reset it? I am concerned that it could be a phishing message, too!

Hi ssh,
Curiosity asks me what people should do if they find out they’ve done this. Is it just a matter of changing their passwords? My friend seemed to have fallen for it.

Yes. Right now, that’s their only option. Also, check their profile and make sure that their email address and other information has not been changed. They might also want to check their application listing and make sure that there aren’t any new applications listed.
Spread the word. Think about the information possible once someone gets access to a few accounts!

How soon will you update your blog? I’m interested in reading some more information on this issue.
Related Story, twitter got cracked a few days ago. Seems that nothing is uncrackable.
